Andadinata is the descendent of the Nobleman Sumedang. He was born at Rancabayawak a village under Majalaya district 30 KilloMeters southeast Bandung City. Spent his life to travel around West Java to equip himself with various styles of pencak silat.
As an adventurer, firstly his equip himself with martial arts that is given initially by decent from the family. The Silat Peksi Muih (bird flying fists) is the initial martial art which is mastered.
It’s common sense at the time being that is the martial arts education is limited in exclusive environment like nobleman family or Moslem theologian. therefore Andadinata has no difficult to get it. Sheik Hajj AbdulKahpi from Petaruman Tarogong Garut distrcit is the first Guru who was teaches a Moslem esoteric knowledge. Later on known as “ilmu hikmah Haqmaliah”.
The silat Peksi Muih then combined with “the Imu Hikmah”, finally become a new style in form as breathing technique martial arts, and known called “Jurus Payung Rasul” (the prophet's umbrela fists).
At that time being the breathing technique martial arts is not usual. To have confidence that jurus Payung Rasul is applicable, then Andadinata trying by take a chance to introduce in any exhibition or show affairs.

To enrich silat styles, Andadinata went to Cirebon city and meet Ajengan Asep Samsudin to learn more pencak silat style. Not only silat styles is obtained. Also some more “ilmu hikmah”. From ajengan Asep Samsudin Andadinata learn both silat Cimande, Chinesse style which is this styles is decent from Abah Khaer.
since ajengan Asep Samsudin just mastered a few pencak silat styles, and then recommends Andadinata to learn more styles at Cikalong. Therefore he was introduced to His Excellency Raden Haji Ibrahim.
The H.E Raden Haji Ibrahim is the founder of the Cikalong silat style. Andadinata then learning silat Cikalong Coached by Rd Haji Enoh, the supreme trainer Silat Cikalong School, since silat Cikalong consist of merged between Local sytle, Batavia’s style and Sumatra’s style, eventually Andadinata is introduced to the Raden Haji Abdullah who is mastered a Sumatra’s style decent from Mama Sabandar, Fortunately then Andadinata getting all the silat style during stayed in Cikalong Cianjur district west Java.

Andadinata equipped with many pencak silat styles and Breathing technique martial arts, then trying to show his skill in any pencak silat show affairs to have more confidence. Once his performed to introduce his style, it will create the audients to know more deep by trying out. Almost in trying out Andadinata defeats the opponents in short term. Eventually Andadinata well known as “Juara Kaul” (unofficial champion ship.
The title “juara kaul” was heard by Mang Suwandi a master of the famous Silat School in Bandung city. And he was seeking for Andadinata the “juara kaul”, the warrior who was not having a silat school. “sambung rasa” (try out) between Mang Suwandi and Andadinata is done. Mang Suwandi has spent all his competence but unfortunately unable to defeat Andadinata. Contrary Andadinata able to lock any attacks from mang Suwandi. Finally mang Suwandi had confession that the greatness style of Andadinata. And apply himself to be a student. Andadinata was objection the request, but Andadinata adopts mang Suwandi as a litle brother.

Gerak Badan Pencak Margaluyu Pusat was established on the 2nd decade of 20th century, since mang Suwandi friends are joint and study Andadinata’s style.
Unfortunately, Pencak Silat School is not recpected by Dutch Administration due to political environment issue. Therefore expansion of Gerak Badan Pencak Margaluyu Pusat is not straight forward. Slow but sure the 2nd layer masters trainer such as Mang Suwandi, Mang Uwen, mang Andi Rohandi, Mang Ulis, Mang Idit Junaidi is reached eventually.
Gerak Badan Margaluyu Pusat officially registered as PPS Margaluyu Pusat after Indonesian declaration of Independence 17 Agust 1945, in 1948 by Ministry Education & Culture of Republic Indonesia office, in Bandung west Java

Since Margaluyu Pusat style consist of combine many styles, Abah (fahter) Andadinata was compilling and making simplification for easy undertanding.

Abah Andadinata (76) passed away on January 29,1969 and buried in Desa Cikuya Cicalengka on 30th January 1969. He was leaving one wife, three daughters, one son and one steps son.
